URBAN STREET PHOTO
In this assignment we had to go downtown and take a urban/abstract photo. "Abstract photography consists of images created using photography materials and equipment that don't have an immediate association with the physical world". Another thing we learned about is the composition of a photo and the rule of thirds. "Photo composition is how a photographer arranges visual elements within their frame."
COMPOSITION PHOTO
My definition of composition is how the photographer places things in the image to make the photo successful. The photographer places things in the image and makes it so your eyes are drawn to the most important part of the image. Using the rule of thirds you can create a balanced image. My image follows the rules of composition using the rule of thirds. Moving your eyes down you see 3 sections: the sky, trees, and ground. My photo follows the composition because it is balanced. If you look vertically the roof and the chair are places of the lines of the rule of third. These are also balanced because they are daigle from each other. By having negative space on the outside of my image , it forces your eyes to look towards the center of the image, which is the most important part. What I am taking away from this unit is that composition is made up of many things. To make a good photo it has to be balanced. Your goal as a photographer is placing things on the invisible lines so that your eyes are drawn to the most important part of the image.
SNOWDOWN
We went down town and took photos of the snowdown parade. We used what we leaned about ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed to create a photo we wanted to display.
